A NEW world-class zoo in the heart of Western Sydney.

Sydney Zoo was founded in 2015 with an aim to create amazing experiences for the local and international community by introducing them to a range of animal species from all over the world, while also educating on animal welfare and conservation.

One of Sydney’s best animal attractions. Sydney Zoo opened on December 6th 2019. Home to over 4,000 animals, 5 iconic precincts, and Australia’s largest Reptile and Nocturnal house, it has fast become one of Sydney’s most popular attractions. Sydney Zoo offers an immersive guest experience that connects people with wildlife from around the world, while promoting conservation and Aboriginal culture through its Bungarribee Dreaming experience.

The zoo is located off the Great Western Highway in Bungarribee. It’s the easiest zoo to get to, with excellent access to the M4 and M7, and only 40 minutes from the CBD. Moreover, the zoo was designed to be accessible and inclusive for all guests with no hills or steps, so that everyone could have a good time while visiting and sightseeing.

Get even closer to your favourite animals with an encounter. Take a walk through the new Koala Trail and snap a photo with Australia’s most iconic animal, stand tall next to a giraffe, feed a mob of mischievous meerkats and more.
